This story is about a girl named Amelia. She is seen from 3 point of views: the schools point of view, her own point of view, and lastly her best friend Hannah's point of view.
The girl known to living the happiest life has loving parents and getting high scores is known as Amelia. She’s the person whom we look up to and get inspired. She’s the favorite of the principal and teachers. She is an example given to parents to show how good their school is. It seems she does nothing but study at home passionately. She’s the most popular girl now. She’s different from others. Looking up, she always has a smile on her face, helps other people when they need an advice or a shoulder to cry on, is kind and doesn’t take advantage of any opportunity. Now that’s she’s popular she could tell her classmates or other people do her home works so she could have fun instead she doesn’t do that. Sometimes even the popular girl can be made fun of but that doesn’t affect her. She would wear full clothes to cover her body a shirt and pants. Some of her “fake” friends went to her house. The next day everybody was talking about Amelia’s parents. Word spread fast around here either bad or good. They told their class on storygram and voila. They said that they were so caring and kind and mostly loving. Here was when everyone got to know about her parents. People at a point wished that they were their parents. Even I did. Everyone wished that they were Amelia.
Now it’s my turn to tell my story. I’m Amelia and my story is different to what others tell and see. Every day I go to school with a smile stitched to my face. The school is another world for me, a new place. Here I can have the best 6 hours of my life. I didn’t have real friends’ just fake ones because of my popularity and I honestly didn’t like it but I felt good sometimes to get the attention. Now don’t think I’m an attention seeker. Since everybody has their story here’s mine. I’m Amelia, a 15 year old girl who is currently in grade 9 and studying really hard for a life ahead. Now let’s talk about home. The parents, whom the girls saw, wore a mask on their face. They are 2 sided people who show the world that they are ideal parents and on the other hand ask me. They are the most cruel, abusive and strict parents. Hey I also try to think about the positive outcomes of their “scolding” but there are none. I get beaten about every small thing I do. Thankfully I have no other sibling otherwise I would’ve died a long time ago to see what cruelty would’ve done to them. It has been like this for 14 years. The perfect grades I get at school it’s not because I study from home I study in school breaks or early in school. I’m not a gifted, who reads and memorizes everything. It’s a really tough time for me. It’s just fate taking my side and understanding what I’m going through and I’m lucky that all. I want to study so that I can get a decent job away from my parents rent an apartment; try to save money for college. Just away from this family. Now this question may arise ‘why don’t you leave that place?’ You tell me where do I go, on the streets, to a friend’s house?! Do I even have a friend? I’m young to get a bank card so where do I keep my money. How should I feed myself? If I go they’ll call the police, not that they care about me and when they find me wonder what happens to me. It’s come to every point to my life to commit suicide but…. Deep down believe it or not I think I love them a bit, just because I am their daughter. I’m in a difficult situation. Remember I told you I like the attention I get it’s because at least I get attention from anyone. I wear clothes covering my body to hide my bruises. I have no idea how to pass with good grades but I’m trying my best. The reason why I help people when they feel sad is that I know what I went through shouldn’t be the same for other so I try to be there for them when I see someone in need. I am lonely and I don’t even have a true friend whom I can open up to because if I keep it to myself it burst like a balloon. Luckily, in grade 10 a new girl transferred to our school, Hannah.
When I transferred to this school, I was literally scared. Walking down the corridors seeing the popular girl clutching her books to her chest, I got upset. I thought of her as a threat to me. I think I watched too many movies and especially “Mean Girls” on repeat. When she saw me upset she came up to me and asked if I was okay. I was a bit shy but I nodded my head. She introduced herself. I told her that I recently transferred so said that if I needed a friend or anyone to talk to or any sort of help I could come find her. I was surprised and taken aback. At the same time, I sensed negativity. At recess, I went out to find her. I saw her walking towards the basketball court. The other bell rang and the kids from the other classes and soon the ground were crowded. I tried to pass through but as soon as I reached the court, I lost sight of her. I tried to look everywhere but it was like she disappeared. I gave up looking and the bell rang. I went to class and surely wanted to find her again. The time flew by. I couldn’t focus on my first day. I was worried for some reason and about a person whom I knew nothing about. The bell rang and during the second recess I ran to the basketball court first. I waited for Amelia and when I saw her coming I called out to her, she tried to leave but I caught up with her. I tried to become friends with her. Not for popularity but as a true friend. We had a little fun talk and walked around school. The next day we did the same and so on for a couple of days but I got the realization she felt uneasy and I asked her about it. She told me she had no friends and usually went to her secret spot. I practically begged her to take me there and alas I persuaded her. It was behind the benches where no-body could find her so that explains where she vanished for the first day. Soon we became best friends and she opened up to me. I felt so bad and being there for her for the past month really helped her. I never went to meet her parents and planned to keep it that way I helped her in any way possible and she sometimes crashed at my place and snuck home late at night so she could keep a distance from her parents. She met mine and they instantly fell in love with her. One day, on her 16th birthday she told me wanted to leave her parents and move in with me I of course said yes but before that I told her to get some things before she left. That day late at night she quietly went into her parent’s room used a master key to unlock the cabinet and took her passport and some money. She took a small suitcase and her school bag, packed and stuff and threw it out her window. She wrote a note saying “You didn’t deserve me” and left the house. She took her saved money and before leaving she looked back and swore she’d never come back again. And how do I know this? It’s because I was the one who took her in my car to our house and from that day we remained like sisters.

One Day: Love story
Part 1

Originally by: Tate Mcrea
Laying on the bed, she stares at the ceiling once again with a hundred thoughts "Maybe he knows who I am? Probably not”. The next day as she walks down the halls with her head down scared to meet his eyes. Even when she hears his voice she's swarmed with butterflies. It was impossible for her to get him off her mind since she always had a hundred thoughts and 99 were about him. She knows that very well that he will never be hers. But right now she's just breaking inside.
He always walks the crowded halls and is blinded by this light; a girl who keeps her head down low and never shows her eyes. He's tried to talk to her but there's no easy way because every time he raises his voice she runs away and leaves. It's impossible to her off his mind since he had a hundred thoughts and 99 were about her. He's understood that she will never be his but that's fine he's just breaking inside. But one day maybe she'll stay and start to head over his way, and one day she'll look into his eyes and instead of breaking she'll claim him "mine", one day he'll tightly grab her by the waist pull her closer and force them to meet face to face, and one day he'll look into her eyes and say that "you're my only light". It was impossible to get each other's minds since they had a hundred thoughts and 99 were about each other. They understand that they will never be each other's something and that's fine because right now they're just breaking inside.
The Rings
Teenage Girl
Sarah and Kate were best friends since they were 2 years old. One of their favorite things to do was to collect any accessory they could find, fake and real both. They kept them safe in a small red box. When they were 7 years old they broke the accessories, took out the diamonds and made a ring the exact same with each of their initials carved on it. From that day onwards, they never took it off. That day they made a pact never to fight and leave each other. They did everything together as if they were sisters. The bonding between them was inseparable. They loved each other so much. They had some arguments but they couldn't be mad at each other for more than 2 hours. They made a code language that only they could understand. They went to parties together, studied together and spent all of their time with each other. Time went on, then came their high school graduation. They even applied to the same college. They were teased about being non kissing soulmates which the both kind of agreed on. They enjoyed their last day of being a highschooler and went to a party. When Sarah got tired Kate decided to take her home. Kate drove and Sarah was sitting beside her telling her to go to Starbucks. Kate agreed. As they were driving a bus had crashed into them. It was an atrocious accident. The people, shocked and horrified, called 911. In a few minutes an ambulance came and took them both to the hospital. They had a lot of blood from their head and were unconscious at the moment. The only words Sarah spoke were “Kate” over and over again. They both immediately hospitalized and they’re family members were contacted. They rushed to Kate and Sarah. They were placed in the same room. After 2 days Sarah regained consciousness and pointed to Kate
“Kate…..Kate...Speak…I’m right here.”
The only thing that Sarah could see of Kate was her hand on which she had worn the ring. She tried to take the pulse oximeter off and go to Kate but as she sat up she couldn't feel her legs and when she took the pulse oximeter off the machines started to beep and the doctors came in. they put her back in place.
“Kate...why isn't she responding...why..” she asked the doctor which pain in the head.
They remained silent and glanced at each other.
“TELL ME…..TELL ME. AH!” she barely screamed at them when her body started to ache.
“I’m fine….Please tell me what happened to Kate” she started to tear up worried, sick and concerned.
“She…..” the doctor took a pause and looked at Kate.
“SHE WHAT”
“She fell into a coma…..I’m sorry” said the doctors with a low tone.
“NO..NO .THAT CAN'T BE TRUE '' she panickly said and tried to get up but there were casts on her legs and she couldn't get out of bed. She started screaming and crying calling Kate to a point when the doctors held her down and gave her a sedative.
After some time she woke up and still felt dizzy. She called the nurse after a minute. She asked the nurse to put her bed closer to Kate's and promised to cause any trouble. The nurse placed her close to Kate and Sarah thanked her. She started singing one of their favorite songs “When I look at you”. She held Kate's hand. Everyday for 2 months was like that. By that time Sarah's legs were healed but she was unable to walk. After a month she was able to walk again. Sadly, Kate wasn't awake yet. Sarah went to see her everyday and sometimes even spent nights at the hospital bed holding her hand. Sarah talked to Kate everyday until one day when Sarah was singing Kate weakly Clutched Sarah's finger and she called for the doctor but Kate clutched it again with all the power she had. She wanted Sarah to stop.
She faintly said, “I love you Sarah, I always have, always will move on…...I'm leaving… goodbye”
“I LOVE YOU DONT LEAVE PLEASE”
The doctors came running in and checked Kate. After a few minutes the heart monitor on Kate was flat and the doctors rushed and got the defibrillator and tried to save her but sadly she had passed away. Sarah watched through the doors and then barged in and went to kate
“KATE...KATE NO WAKE UP PLEASE DONT LEAVE PLEASE WAKE UP I'LL DO ANYTHING JUST PLEASE WAKE UP” she hysterically cried and kept holding her. The doctors asked her to leave but she wasn't leaving. They tried taking her by force and held her by the arms but she kicked and screamed and did everything she could. Parents on both sides were bawling. As Sarah was being taken out of the room she screamed
“THE RING...I NEED THAT RING... PLEASE GIVE ME THAT RING”
Sarah was wailing her eyes outside the room and after some time the doctor came and gave Sarah Kate's ring. This had happened for almost a year. Sarah was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, severe depression, anxiety and also kept having panic attacks. She has nightmares and panic attacks mostly at night and even on some days she couldn't sleep at all. She kept herself locked in her room and her parents became a lot concerned about her. She had gotten really weak and unsteady. Her parents gave her sleeping pills to sleep at night. A year had passed like this. Ultimately, at night Sarah had a dream. There was Kate dressed in a white gown in a beautiful garden and there was so much light. Sarah stood and watched. Several minutes later, Kate turned around and walked towards Sarah. Kate told Sarah something after which her heart was better and she started to take care of herself. She changed something about herself. She wore her ring on one hand and Kate's ring on the other. She never took it off. A Lot of time passed and then came the time of Sarah's graduation. She was walking on the street heading home but she was stopped by 2 robbers with a glock in their hands’. They told her to give all her valuables. She gave them her money and all the things she had. One of the robbers' eyes landed on her hand. He told her to give the rings to them. She stopped dead in her tracks. With a stern look, she walked toward the robber and refused
“Give it to us or we’ll shoot”
“Take the rest but not the rings”
One refusal and one of the robbers shot her. But she stood still and started laughing. The robbers horrified thinking she was a crazy woman and ran away with what she had given them. Sarah fell weak to the ground with a smile on her face, looking at the night sky and said,
